Suzanne “Suzy” Roberta Faulkner, 63, of Hilo died Aug. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pasadena, Calif., she was a retired business instructor at Hawaii Community College. Private services. Survived by sisters, Verenna Louise Faulkner and Bonnie Larisa Faulkner; one niece, one grandniece and one grandnephew. Arrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary.

Haruo Nakamura, 89, of Keaau died Aug. 7 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Olaa, he was the retired owner of Nakamura Sales &Service, a U.S. Army veteran and member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Puna Lions Club and Keaau Seniors Golf Club. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by daughters, JoAnne Nakamura of Honolulu and Cathy Nakamura of Keaau; brother, Roy (Lorraine) Nakamura of Honolulu; sisters, Shizue Fujiyama, Sumie Abe and Alice Oie of Keaau; nieces and nephews. Salesi Kilisitofa Palaimaea, 44, of Hilo died Aug. 26 at home. Born in Tonga, He was a member of Church of the Holy Cross Tongan Congregation. Visitation 8-8:30 p.m. Friday (Sept. 4) at Church of the Holy Cross, 440 W. Lanikaula St. Service at 8:30 p.m. Service to continue 8 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 5) at the church. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, section K. Casual attire.
